Installation of your windows is extremely important. Northwest Energy Savers uses only AAMA Certified Installers. Being AAMA certified means that your windows are installed properly to meet/exceed all local builder codes as well as The Manufacturers requirements.
Our Installation Workmanship Warranty is 5 years (vs. 1yr for most of our competitors) We do not take shortcuts like some of the competition does.
Step-By-Step Installation of Energy Efficient Windows
As a Family run business, we do whatever it takes to make your installation the best possible.
Here is a list of the steps we take to assure you and your family of the Best Installation.
17 step Installation Process
- Place tarps and dust barriers inside the work rooms.
- Remove the old window exterior trim.
- Saw around the old windows to expose the nailing fins on the windows.
- Remove the resulting siding, underlayment and insulation pieces.
- Carefully remove the nails or screws that hold the old windows in place.
- Extract the old window, in-tact.
- Custom cut the window frames to the proper depth for the new window, using specialized tools, to assure a flat mounting surface for the new window. Clean up the resulting debris.
- Caulk around the window opening in preparation to accept the new window.
- Install and secure the new window into the opening.
- Measure, mark and custom cut the siding around the new window to provide for an excellent fit of the new window trim. Clean up the resulting debris.
- Apply a specialized temperature and moisture resistant tape over the window fins, securing it to the sheeting, providing an air and weather tight bond.
- Securely install the trim around the new window.
- Caulk around the trim and siding to complete the weather and air tight seal.
- Caulk the interior of the windows.
- Remove the window stickers.
- "Rough Clean" each window.
- Clean up the interior and exterior of the home, removing debris, dust barriers and tarps.
